Shane Rufer is a football coach and former professional player, offering Football Coaching in Palmerston North through the Shane Rufer School of Football.
Shane was born in Te Puia Springs, New Zealand to a Maori mother and a Swiss father. He has represented New Zealand on the national football team in 20 A games, and Shane and his brother Wynton were the first New Zealanders to play professional football in Europe.
Shane returned to New Zealand in 1997 to serve as assistant coach for the U17 national team. Since his return, he has committed himself to developing and promoting football in New Zealand.
Shane loves working with young players - sharing his experience and knowledge to help develop a new generation of New Zealand footballers.
